Celebrate Easter Sunday on the Sunshine Coast

Welcome to Easter Sunday on the Sunshine Coast! Today, Sunday, 5 April 2026, the region is buzzing with holiday spirit, offering a fantastic mix of local markets, world-class comedy, and family-friendly festivities. Whether you are looking for the freshest local produce for an Easter feast or a way to keep the kids entertained during the school holidays, there is plenty to see and do across our coastal and hinterland communities.

Laughter and Entertainment at Palmview

For those looking to cap off their Easter Sunday with some world-class entertainment, legendary comedian Jimeoin is bringing his hit show, "Ballyhoo," to the Banana Bender Pub in Palmview. Known for his brilliant observational humor and iconic facial expressions, Jimeoin will be performing a special Sunday afternoon session. It is an ideal way for locals and visitors to enjoy a laugh-filled afternoon in one of the Coast's most unique and colorful venues.

Easter Family Fun and Community Egg Hunts

Easter Sunday would not be complete without a visit from the Easter Bunny. Families heading toward the hinterland can stop by Club Glass House in Beerwah between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm. The Easter Bunny will be roaming the club with a basket full of chocolate treats, offering a great opportunity for family photos and a relaxed holiday atmosphere during lunch.

Additionally, the Corbould Park precinct is hosting a major community celebration today. While the venue is a local staple, today’s focus is squarely on the "Family Fun Zone" and the highly anticipated annual Easter Egg Hunt. Children can hunt for treasures across the lawns and enjoy a variety of entertainment including pony rides, jumping castles, and interactive games designed to make the most of the beautiful autumn sunshine.

Stroll Through Local Sunday Markets

The Sunshine Coast’s famous market scene is in full swing today, providing the perfect opportunity to support local artisans and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Several major markets are operating with special holiday energy:

  • Caloundra Street Fair: From 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, Bulcock Street is transformed into a vibrant pedestrian mall. Featuring over 120 unique stalls, you can browse handmade crafts, local art, and a wide array of street food while enjoying live music from local performers.
  • Noosa Farmers Market: Nestled under the gum trees at the Noosa AFL Club in Noosaville, this market is open from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm. It remains the premier destination for organic produce, artisan cheeses, and gourmet condiments.
  • Cotton Tree Markets: Located on King Street in Maroochydore, these markets run from 7:00 am to 12:00 pm. This is a fantastic spot to discover local fashion and unique giftware before taking a scenic stroll along the Maroochy River.

As today is a major holiday, many locals will be out and about early. We recommend arriving at the markets and family events ahead of time to secure parking and enjoy the best of the festivities!
