Easter Saturday on the Sunshine Coast

Welcome to a vibrant Easter Saturday across the Sunshine Coast. As the long weekend shifts into high gear, the region is buzzing with a blend of high-energy music festivals, traditional artisan markets, and cultural exhibitions. Whether you are looking to dance the night away or browse for unique local treasures, there is something for everyone today, Saturday, 4 April 2026.

Sunny Side Up Music Festival at Aussie World

The headline event for today is the debut of the Sunny Side Up Music Festival. Held at the Aussie World Complex in Palmview, this boutique electronic music festival is transforming the precinct into a high-energy playground. Starting at 5:00 PM and running until 10:00 PM, the event features a heavy-hitting lineup including DJ sets from Golden Features, Bag Raiders, and Cosmo’s Midnight, alongside performances by Sneaky Sound System and Mashd N Kutcher.

Set across three custom-built stages, the festival offers an immersive experience with a capped capacity to ensure an intimate vibe. Please note that while the festival takes place within the Aussie World grounds, the theme park rides will not be operating during the event, as the focus remains strictly on the music and atmosphere. This is a strictly 18+ event.

The Original Eumundi Markets

For those starting their day early, the Original Eumundi Markets are in full swing from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. As Australia's premier artisan market, it remains a Saturday staple for locals and visitors alike. Today, you can wander through hundreds of stalls featuring handcrafted furniture, local fashion, and unique jewelry. The food precinct is also a major draw, offering everything from fresh local produce to international street food, all accompanied by the sounds of live local buskers under the heritage-listed fig trees.

Cultural Highlights and Community Gatherings

  • Visions in Clay 2026: Ceramics enthusiasts should head to this special Easter exhibition. Running throughout the long weekend, this showcase features intricate works from local potters and clay artists, offering a sophisticated alternative to the festival circuit.
  • Easter at Brightwater Hotel: Families looking for a community atmosphere can visit the Brightwater Hotel. Today’s schedule includes Easter-themed activities and local raffles as part of their weekend-long celebration.
  • Live Music with Noah Simpson: If you prefer a relaxed afternoon, catch a live set by Noah Simpson at 19 First Avenue. Performing from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, it is the perfect way to transition into the evening.

With perfect autumn weather gracing the coast today, it is a fantastic time to get out and support our local artists, musicians, and small business owners. Enjoy your Easter Saturday!
