Markets Across the Coast

Kick off your Saturday by exploring some of the region's most beloved markets. The iconic Eumundi Markets will be in full swing from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm, offering its world-famous array of local crafts, unique fashion, and gourmet street food. For those in the hinterland, the Beerwah Tower Green Market returns to the QCWA Beerwah Hall today from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. This community-focused event features handcrafted jewellery, home-baked treats, and a classic sausage sizzle, with raffle proceeds today supporting Muscular Dystrophy Queensland.

As the day winds down, head to the shore for the Mooloolaba Sunsets Market. From 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm, the Mooloolaba Esplanade transforms into a twilight hub of artisan stalls and food trucks. It is the perfect spot to grab a bite and enjoy the ocean breeze as the sun sets. The market is a family-friendly favourite, allowing locals and visitors to set up a picnic blanket on the grass and enjoy the laid-back coastal vibes.

Music and Evening Performances

Music lovers are spoiled for choice this evening with two very different but equally compelling performances. At Kings Beach, the UK’s Elephant Sessions will take the stage at 8:00 pm. Known for their high-energy fusion of electronic folk, this chart-topping band from the Scottish Highlands brings a bass-heavy backline and intricate mandolin tunes that are guaranteed to get the crowd moving.

For those seeking a more atmospheric experience, Flaxton Gardens is hosting a Candlelight Tribute to Hans Zimmer starting at 8:30 pm. Witness the magic of iconic cinematic scores from Interstellar, The Lion King, and Gladiator performed by the Paradiso Strings quartet under the gentle glow of thousands of candles. Additionally, the Oriana Choir presents their "Pop Royalty" tribute today, celebrating the legends of pop with powerful vocal arrangements in a spectacular choral showcase.

Arts and Coastal Culture

It is the penultimate day of the Noosa Festival of Surfing, which runs through until tomorrow. While the professional and amateur competitions continue at First Point, the festival atmosphere extends across the Noosa Heads shoreline with surf art displays, film screenings, and live entertainment. It is a fantastic opportunity to soak up the autumn sun and witness world-class longboarding.

In Caloundra, the Caloundra Regional Gallery is hosting one of the final opportunities to view The Brothers Gruchy exhibition. This digital-first showcase by acclaimed artists Tim and Mic Gruchy explores the intersection of technology and biological forms, featuring significant artworks that use artificial intelligence and immersive digital projections to create a truly unique gallery experience.
